Admit it: you had a crush on Aladdin. Or maybe Prince Eric. Or perhaps both. Little you watched them on the big screen and didn’t exactly realize what a crush was, or that it was weird to have a crush on an animated character, but there was love there nonetheless. These are the exact moments that we knew we loved…
John Smith
We weren’t too sure about him at first, he seemed to have a bit of an arrogant streak when he claimed that he’d seen dozens of “new worlds” and that there was probably nothing different about this one (joke’s on him). But then there was something about him hopping out of that row boat, all in awe of this new world, shrouded in mist, that opened the crush floodgates.
Prince Eric
Let’s face it: we were all in love with Prince Eric in a matter of seconds. It happened to Ariel, it happened to us. It’s known as “love at first sight” which we know is real because of this dude. Plus, when we meet him, he was playing with his dog Max, a very effective ploy.
Plus he follows it up with this true love speech while crouching on the edge of a ship, and like lightning we loved Prince Eric.
Flynn Rider
Contrary to Flynn’s own logic, while attractive, the smolder sort of makes us feel like we’re being charmed, and we don’t necessarily appreciate it. We realized we loved Flynn when he was being himself a bit more, not a scheming scoundrel. Therefore, we really fell in love with Flynn when he came clean about his name and past and all.
Prince Phillip
Boy looks good on a steed, what can we say. That’s why this one was pretty much also love at first sight. We especially like that he wants to find out where the beautiful voice is coming from and his horse is like “no be practical, Phillip” but then Phillip charms him into finding Aurora, revealing a sweet romantic streak in this prince.
Aladdin
Aladdin is pretty much immediately cute, but we’re not totally sold on him until he goes to his modest rooftop hideout and shows us dreamer Aladdin. Upon looking closer, we see that Aladdin has heart to go with all of that bread-stealing and charm, thereby moving him into crush territory.
Tarzan
Tarzan is buff and has quite the pensive stare. This, however, is counteracted by the fact that he eats with his feet. It isn’t until he fights the leopard*** that the pendulum swings in his favor.
Also, Tarzan’s dad was pretty handsome as well.
Prince Naveen
We have to admit, pre-frog Naveen’s attitude sort of made us not have a crush on him, despite his ukulele skills and how charming he was. It wasn’t until he learned his lesson and fell for a awesome girl like Tiana that we felt like maybe he had a heart that went with that charming smile. Ooo that smile.
Belle’s Prince
We weren’t too sure about this one since he was a beast and all. He was pretty handsome as far as beasts go–just saying. But just like Belle, as soon as we looked into his eyes, we were sold. Plus, he cleans up pretty nice.
Which Disney Prince did you always have a crush on when you were little?
